The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has backed down over forcing a family involved in a tragic end-of-life case to pay back benefit overpayments after a media outcry.

Over a 2-day hearing this Wednesday and Thursday, the second highest Court in England, the Court of Appeal, will scrutinise the ruling of Mrs Justice Roberts who declared that 19-year-old Sudiksha Thirumalesh lacked mental capacity to make decisions about her healthcare.

Tomorrow (1 May), a Christian maths teacher will pursue a Judicial Review of the Secretary of State For Education's (SOS) decision to ban him indefinitely from the profession for refusing to use the preferred pronouns of a girl identifying as a boy at school.
