A celebrant has been reprimanded by a local council for allowing a grieving family to quietly recite the Lord’s Prayer during a funeral service.

Bristol Employment Tribunal has rejected Kristie Higgs’s claims for discrimination and harassment in connection with her dismissal for two Facebook posts that raised concerns about transgenderism and sex education at her son’s Church of England primary school.

A High Court has today, Monday 5 October, rejected a heavy-handed attempt by police to prevent a Christian preacher from preaching on the streets of Avon and Somerset.

Avon and Somerset Police will argue at a High Court hearing on Monday 5 October that a Christian preacher could cause “significant risk or harm to others”.
