Christian Concern has intervened in a case concerning the application of sharia law in Europe. The Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights is set to rule on a case concerning the application of sharia law to a dispute between Greek citizens who are Muslims.

Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre, has welcomed today’s High Court ruling in the case of Noel Conway. Mr Conway had been granted permission by the Court of Appeal after his initial attempt to change the law on assisted suicide was rejected.

A Christian student has accused Sheffield University of "appalling double standards" in its decision to expel him from a social work course after he expressed his Christian beliefs on Facebook. Felix Ngole, 39, of Barnsley, made the accusation after new evidence was submitted to a Judicial Review hearing today (Tuesday 3 October) at the High Court in London.

The High Court will today (Tuesday 3 October) hear the case of Felix Ngole, a Christian student who was expelled from his university social work course after articulating biblical teaching about marriage and sexual ethics during a Facebook discussion.
