Christian was carried by four police officers to a riot van and was imprisoned for eight hours after he was alleged to have failed to comply with a Public Spaces Protection Order. The good news is that the charges have been dropped, but the case raises huge questions over whether praying in a public space now constitutes ‘harassment’ and whether buffer zones around abortion clinics breach freedom of expression, religion and thought.
