In 2021, according to Worldometer, there were just over 42.6 million abortions worldwide, making it the leading cause of death last year across the globe. This number was actually comparatively low. According to the World Population Review, there are roughly 73 million induced abortions each year, with 29% of all pregnancies now ending in abortion.

In the UK, since the passing of the 1967 Abortion Act, we have aborted nearly 10 million unborn. This equates to around 14% of our population – or, to put it another way, the entire population of Austria.

The Bible says that men and women are made in the image of God, and life begins at conception. This global slaughter of the unborn is sin. The world must repent.

Join us at Missing Millions, where Andrea Williams, Christian Concern’s chief executive, explores the scope of human rights and denial of the unborn child’s right to life, equipping us to take action.
