Lords scrutinise damaging effect of porn

Printer-friendly version

The Bishop of Chester has led a debate on pornography in the House of Lords. Introducing the debate on Thursday, the Bishop highlighted pornography's damaging impact on society, stating it has an "adverse effect" on family and relationships.

He also highlighted that it contributes to the normalisation of "objectification, exploitation, and, very often, abuse". Andrea Williams said: "The truth about pornography needs to be exposed and action taken."
