MPs call for better end of life care

Printer-friendly version

MPs have called for 'end of life' care to be freely provided in people's homes by the NHS.

The Health Select Committee's report also found that care for people reaching the end of their lives currently varies around the UK. Care and Support minister, Norman Lamb, said that he wanted the next government to implement the changes as soon as possible. Those opposed to 'assisted suicide' have long called for better 'end of life' care provision.
