'Sexual consent' lessons for eleven-year-olds

Printer-friendly version

11-year-olds are to be taught about sexual consent under government plans announced this week, even though the age of consent is 16.

Instead of teaching children about the benefits of abstinence and marriage as the safest place for sexual expression, schools will be told to teach children about "making informed choices". The guidance speaks of "healthy relationships" but all sex outside of marriage ends up hurting people.
