Virgins use IVF to become mothers

Printer-friendly version

It has emerged that at least 25 women in Britain who have never had sex, have given birth in the last five years using IVF. At least four British IVF firms were involved in assisting the women. The treatment is not available to heterosexual virgins on the NHS but they can attain the treatment privately for around £5,000.

Andrea Williams said: "This is an obstinate refusal to accept God's pattern which requires a man and a woman to make, and raise, a child."
