One man and his cross

Meet Christian evangelist Richard Champion.

Richard has been doing cross walks for over 4 years now and has visited Scotland & France among other places.

Richard carries the 8ft cross, which weighs 23kg, to take the love of Christ to people. 

Richard said he used to joke when he was repossessing cars about repossessing lives [for Christ] but says with the cross that is what he wants to see.

"It's not about me, it's about the Jesus, it's about the cross," he adds.

On one of his cross walks Richard was arrested. Retelling the experience Richard says: "so there I was under arrest, walking through the streets of Dunblane accompanied by a police officer, telling people about Jesus. You couldn't make it up!"

With the help of the Christian Legal Centre, in December 2016 Richard's charges were completely dropped.
